A nationally recognized law firm with a strong Midwest presence is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join its private wealth practice in St. Louis. This role involves advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth transfer matters. Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Missouri Bar in good standing
- 3+ years of experience in estate planning and trust and estate matters
- Strong experience drafting complex wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and advanced estate planning structures
- Familiarity with estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
- Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and family-owned or closely held businesses
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and client-communication skills
- Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating within a team
Responsibilities
- Design and implement sophisticated estate plans for high-net-worth clients
- Advise clients on estate, gift, and GST tax planning strategies
- Assist with trust administration and probate matters as needed
- Counsel clients on business succession, charitable planning, and wealth transfer strategies
- Coordinate with accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals
- Maintain and grow strong client relationships through proactive communication
- Stay current on developments in estate planning and tax law impacting clients
