We are seeking a caring and dependable Classroom Assistant Teacher to support our 3-year-old classroom.
Position Summary
The Classroom Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. This role includes assisting with daily routines, learning activities, supervision, and helping children build social, emotional, and early learning skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily activities and lesson plans
- Engage with children through play, conversation, reading, and learning activities
- Assist with classroom organization, transitions, and routines
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
- Support positive behavior guidance and social development
- Communicate respectfully with families and team members
- Document daily activities and child interactions as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with young children required
- Must meet Florida DCF training requirements for childcare staff
- Patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with young children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
