Veterinary Receptionist — Full Time
$26/hour | Full-Time | Benefits Included
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and personable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. Our hospital is primarily a small-animal general practice, and our reception team plays an important role in keeping the hospital running smoothly while providing excellent service to our clients and their pets.
This is a busy position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain professional and organized while managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients with questions
- Schedule and manage appointments
- Monitor, filter, and respond to hospital emails
- Greet clients and patients and manage the check-in/check-out process
- Provide friendly, professional customer service both in person and over the phone
- Collect and process payments
- Communicate client needs and messages to veterinarians and veterinary technicians
- Maintain accurate client and patient information
- Help coordinate the flow of appointments throughout the day
- Handle sensitive or difficult client interactions with professionalism and discretion

- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with the public
- A clear communicator with strong phone and written communication skills
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
- Comfortable using computers, email, and scheduling software
- Detail-oriented and able to accurately relay information
- Able to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and fellow reception staff
- Comfortable working around dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments
Previous veterinary or medical reception experience is helpful, but we are also willing to consider candidates with strong customer-service and administrative experience.

Pay: $26/hour
