Job Description

As a Technician I, you will be responsible for performing set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. You will engage in testing and troubleshooting assemblies and final systems, including more complex systems and mechanical assemblies. Follow test process instructions and determine test specifications, methods, and procedures from statements of work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems.
  • Engage in the set-up and testing of complex systems and mechanical assemblies.
  • Follow test process instructions and determine test specifications from statements of work.
  • Complete rework on assemblies and systems.
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  • Perform additional tasks such as unpacking, packaging, placing labels, and crating.
  • Execute any other tasks assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, reworking, and using test equipment.
  • Experience in hardware and software testing and installation.
  • Strong computer skills, including downloading software and troubleshooting software and hardware.
  • Knowledge in electronics, schematics, blueprints, and familiarity with Linux and C++.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic office applications, such as word processors, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting or networking computer components.
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Capability to work on ladders or stools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $25.00/hr.
