Shipping Manager
Location: Mesquite, Texas
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $70k - $90k DOE
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday

In this vital role, you will oversee all shipping activities, coordinate with carriers, optimize processes, and contribute directly to customer satisfaction and operational success. Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping, 3PL, or a production environment
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and carrier coordination
- Proficient in interpreting MRP systems is a plus
- Solid decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Adept at working under pressure and meeting deadlines
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with developing KPIs and operational metrics
- Familiarity with logistics software and advanced shipping notice (ASN) creation
- Prior experience managing a team of 8-12 personnel
- Knowledge of inventory reconciliation and freight routing
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field preferred
- High School Diploma with relevant work experience will also be considered
Other Requirements:
- Ability to manage and mentor a team
- Experience working with carriers across TL, LTL, and small package shipping
- Strong understanding of customer requirements, routing guides, and vendor agreements
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training programs to enhance operational efficiency
