Job Title: Utility Field Technician
Job Description
As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of utility trucks by performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. Your role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on both customer and company-owned equipment, and ensuring that repairs are cost-effective. You will also be responsible for documentation and monitoring job expenses.
Responsibilities
- Wash utility trucks and ensure they are road-ready.
- Run diagnostics on customer or company-owned equipment.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
- Inspect components to maximize the reuse of parts and control repair costs.
- Complete required documentation using appropriate software to account for repairs performed and repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and report any cost overruns to the supervisor prior to job completion.
Essential Skills
- Experience with utility trucks, bucket trucks, diesel engines, and upfitting.
- Proficiency in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in cleaning and running diagnostics on heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with documentation software used in repair logging.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
