Starting wage: $46,020.09 - $57,525.11

Position Summary:
The Marina and RV Park Manager is responsible for creating an initial and continuing atmosphere of hospitality and excellent service. The Marina and RV Park Manager provides intensive training for new employees and on-going training to employees. Responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling employees, completing performance evaluations, maintaining adequate staffing levels, coaching, and mentoring employees. The Marina and RV Park Manager will attempt to settle all guest complaints in a timely and effective manner.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
The Marina and RV Park Manager is responsible for the following duties:
- Manage and maintain the Marina and RV Park to ensure efficient and profitable operation.
- Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, order, and price gas for the gas tanks on marina property.
- Order bait, tackle, groceries, alcohol, ice cleaning and office supplies.
- Work closely with area fishing guides and resorts.
- Manage live bait.
- Establish standards for performance, service to guests, rates, and advertising.
- Assist in planning department budget; analyze sales and budget to determine efficient operations.
- Maintain an accurate site status and control of site inventory.
- Maintain a harmonious yet professional relationship with the RV Park and Marina staff while providing praise, encouragement, constructive feedback, and discipline as needed.
- Attend all meetings scheduled by management.
- Monitor Marina and RV Park restrooms, office and laundry for safety and cleanliness.
- Alert the appropriate personnel for repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Work with other departments to ensure guests’ needs are met.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of guest complaints and resolutions associated with each.
- Conduct team member performance evaluations, schedules adequate staffing levels, hire and terminate employees as required.
- Ensure that emergency procedures are followed and direct and reassure staff and customers during emergencies.
- Handle disputed guest charges and approve refunds before they are issued.
- Monitor cash-handling activities of team members; monitor discounts, complimentary items, and coupons to be sure all are being used appropriately.
- Inspect and maintain public areas and Marina/RV Park grounds for cleanliness and safety.
- Maintain the fish houses- heat-bait-holes open, clean for the next guests.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by upper management.

Qualifications – Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience and/or three years managing a similar type of facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to direct a team.
- Fiscally responsible.
- Self-starter, well organized, strong initiative.
- Must be able to meet and deal with the public in a professional, friendly, courteous manner to maintain excellent public relations.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Strong knowledge of Lake Vermilion and the surrounding area.
Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and requires overall good mental and physical health.

Preference:
