Business Development Manager
Job brief
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help develop our integrator / installer customer base. Duties include assisting our customers with product application and troubleshooting questions and working closely with the sales team to grow market share in the landscape lighting industry.
Responsibilities
- Searching for leads, cold calling on new and existing customers.
- Assist with order processing and customer communication.
- Contact prospects and leads for potential sales
- Assist in managing the CRM system, while working directly with our Sales Team to help direct and manage activities.
- Assist in creating marketing plans to expand our contractor installer customer base.
- Work in conjunction with the ERP system, Webstore and CRM systems to integrate and manage processes.
- Help develop and manage online webstore sales to expand our customer base.
- Contact customers with sales promotions and training.
- Work closely with accounting and order entry staff to streamline methods.
- Respond to customer queries in a timely and accurate way, via phone, email or chat.
- Resolve customer queries, recommend solutions and guiding product users through features and functionalities.
- Provide recommendations to the management team.
Requirements and skills
- Familiarity with the Green Industry is a plus
- Phone skills
- Experience using help desk software and remote support tools
- Understanding of how CRM systems work
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Patience when handling tough cases
- Ability to respond to customer questions using social media
- Ability to collaborate across departments and teams
- Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
- Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process
- Understand and demonstrate the product or service to the customer
- Strong technical abilities
