LEGAL SECRETARY ROLE - FULLY ON SITE IN DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO
About the Role
This firm is seeking a polished, detail‑oriented Legal Secretary with strong litigation experience in California state and federal courts. This role supports multiple attorneys with a balanced caseload and offers stability, strong mentorship, and an excellent work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, and revise legal documents (pleadings, motions, discovery, TOAs/TOCs)
- E‑file in state and federal courts (California and Federal CM/ECF)
- Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, and reminders (CompuLaw or firm system; training offered)
- Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
- Handle document management, proofreading, redlining, and administrative support
- Process expenses, time entries, and assist with billing as needed
- Provide reliable support for trial prep, filings, and case logistics
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85K–$105K DOE
- Schedule: 40‑hour week; onsite or hybrid depending on firm

Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation legal secretary experience required
- Strong knowledge of CA state and federal court rules
- Proficient in MS Office and document management systems (iManage or similar)
- Experience with CompuLaw, Aderant, or similar systems is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and communication
