Job DescriptionSenior Trial Paralegal - Costa Mesa, CA
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support our legal team in all phases of civil litigation, including personal injury matters. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of litigation and trial experience, excellent research and communication skills, and a strong understanding of legal procedures in both state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys through all stages of litigation: case preparation, discovery, trial, and post-trial activities
- Organize and manage complex litigation files and case databases
- Draft, revise, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and other parties
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and relevant agencies
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support litigation cases
- Manage e-discovery and document production using litigation support software
- Prepare deposition summaries, exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders
- Track litigation deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules
- Liaise with court personnel, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
- Assist in trial preparation and coordinate trial logistics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil litigation; personal injury experience is a plus
- Proficiency in legal research tools, electronic discovery platforms, and litigation software
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal court rules and filing procedures
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills
