Teacher’s Aide / Classroom Assistant (Bilingual Childcare – Mandarin/English)
Location: 435 Hamline Ave S, Saint Paul, MN
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time (flexible around student schedules)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + Paid Holidays + PTO
About Us
My Mini Mandarin is a Mandarin-English bilingual childcare center located in the Mac-Groveland neighborhood of Saint Paul. We’re passionate about creating a nurturing, play-based environment where young children grow, explore, and learn through both languages. Our program emphasizes culture, creativity, and kindness — all while offering healthy, homemade meals cooked on site by our Chef “Nainai” (奶奶).
Position Summary
We’re seeking caring, responsible, and energetic individuals to join our team as Teacher’s Aides. This is an ideal position for college students, recent graduates, or anyone interested in early childhood education or Mandarin language immersion.
You’ll assist lead teachers in creating a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers with classroom routines, art projects, and play activities
- Supervise and engage children in both indoor and outdoor learning experiences
- Foster bilingual (Mandarin-English) learning through songs, stories, and conversation
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and co-workers
Qualifications
- Passion for working with young children
- Reliable, friendly, and eager to learn
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English (preferred but not required)
- No prior teaching experience necessary — we provide on-the-job training!
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a background check
