Full-time roles are available across multiple grade levels, from PreK to 12th grade—including PreK classrooms, Kindergarten–2nd Grade self-contained environments, middle school resource support, and gifted specialist positions. This assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through May 26, 2027, offering the chance to make an impact throughout the academic year. Specific details for each position will be shared during the interview process.
Qualifications:
- Valid Alabama Special Education Teacher Certification
- Experience working with students in special education settings across various grade levels preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility in adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with a range of abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth through targeted interventions and positive reinforcement
