We're seeking a hands-on Machine Technician to support automated production lines in a clean, climate-controlled cosmetic manufacturing facility. This role combines machine operation, troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement, making it an excellent pathway into maintenance and advanced manufacturing careers.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated production, filling, and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and escalate complex repairs to maintenance.
- Perform equipment checks, changeovers, and machine setups.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
- Support quality, safety, cGMP compliance, and 5S initiatives.
- Train and assist operators on equipment operation and best practices.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet performance goals.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with automated production equipment and changeovers.
- Ability to diagnose issues, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manufacturing, automotive, military, or similar technical experience highly valued.
- Familiarity with cGMP, 5S, SPC, or continuous improvement practices is a plus.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxford, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.75/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
