This position is responsible for providing Project Management for Wunderlich-Malec customers primarily in the Electric Utility market. Projects will range in size, complexity, and voltage (120V to 345kV).

Our Winslow, ME Wunderlich-Malec engineering group is adding a Senior Project Manager. This position is responsible for providing Project Management for Wunderlich-Malec customers primarily in the Electric Utility market. Projects will range in size, complexity, and voltage (120V to 345kV).

Responsibilities include

  • Responsible for setting the standard for Project Management and facilitating growth of the project support resources for the Business Unit in collaboration with Operations and Business Unit Managers
  • Create standards, tools and templates to promote consistency in Project Management workflow and documentation for the Business Unit
  • Manages small to large scale projects for clients independently with minimal oversight
  • May be responsible for managing and supporting multiple projects at once
  • Develops, manages, and controls project costs
  • Develops, manages, and controls project schedule
  • Manages and directs resources appropriately for the project
  • Manages the end-to-end project lifecycle for assigned projects
  • Guides the client in project decisions, ensuring the best solution for their business
  • Responsible for leading and developing a high performing team to deliver on goals and objectives of the project
  • Manages vendor and client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met
  • Maintains regular contact with client and reports on project progress, issues, and accomplishments to both the client & Wunderlich-Malec team leadership
  • Accountable for project and/or program success
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Commitment to meeting customer requirements within the project; yet able to succeed when requirements are not pre-defined
  • Flexible in mindset to take on new challenges and continually improve in knowledge and efficiencies

Requirements

  1. Education –Bachelor’s degree and/or
  2. Experience – 10+ years of experience in power engineering design and PMP certification. General knowledge of power engineering project management practices.

Physical Demands of Position Seeing, color perception, hearing, listening, clear speech, dexterity in hands. Ability to perform the minimum requirements and meet deadlines as required.

Working Conditions Hybrid mix of standard office environment: frequent use of computer, facsimiles, copy machines, and other office equipment. The ability to travel for client/project needs is strongly preferred; estimated at <10%.
