Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced, highly proactive, and litigation-focused Family Law Attorney to join our growing practice. The role involves managing a variety of family law matters, including dissolution, custody disputes, support matters, adoption, and complex asset division.
The ideal candidate has a strong family law background, courtroom and litigation experience, and confidently leads cases from start to finish. This includes drafting motions, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court, while effectively managing complex matters with professionalism and care. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their matters, anticipates next steps, and drives cases forward independently, while maintaining a collaborative and client-focused approach.
Our office is based in Foster City, CA, and candidates should reside in the Bay Area and be within commuting distance for court appearances, depositions, and in-person needs. Outside of required in-person commitments, the role may be performed in a hybrid or remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel - Provide expert legal advice and representation in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and property division. Advise clients on legal rights, options, and potential outcomes.
- Advocacy - Represent clients in family court proceedings, including hearings, settlement conferences, and trials, while negotiating favorable outcomes.
- Drafting - Draft and review legal documents such as marital settlement agreements, parenting plans, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and court filings.
- Research - Conduct legal research to prepare motions, pleadings, declarations, and correspondence relevant to family law cases.
- Clients - Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, strategic legal support during complex matters.
- Collaboration - Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management and high-quality client service across all matters.
- Case Management - Own cases by anticipating next steps, driving matters forward, and maintaining strong organization, including tracking deadlines and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active California State Bar license.
- 5+ years of family law experience.
- Proven track record of managing complex cases and delivering favorable outcomes for clients.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Demonstrates a proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

- Base salary between $200,000 and $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based bonuses.
