Qualifications & Skills:
- Current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- In-depth understanding of child development, learning, and behavioral principles
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and report writing
- Strong ability to analyze data and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with special education law and best practices
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ emotional, social, and academic functioning using standardized assessments, interviews, and observations
- Interpret assessment results to inform eligibility for special education services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing insights and recommendations
- Develop and help implement intervention strategies addressing student needs
- Offer consultation and guidance to teachers, support staff, and families
- Support crisis intervention, positive behavior plans, and social-emotional learning initiatives
- Maintain detailed and confidential documentation according to regulatory requirements
