Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for a P6 Scheduler in the San Jose area to keep major mechanical construction projects across HVAC, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal on the critical path from preconstruction through closeout.

Impact

  • Give project managers and superintendents visibility into schedule risk before it becomes delay.
  • Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal through integrated scheduling.
  • Build owner and GC confidence with accurate, defensible schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules for major mechanical projects.
  • Coordinate logic and sequencing with MEP, piping, and sheet metal superintendents and foremen.
  • Track progress, update monthly, and identify critical path impacts early.
  • Analyze delays and support recovery schedules.
  • Develop bid and baseline schedules with project managers and estimators.
  • Prepare look-ahead schedules and support pull planning.
  • Maintain documentation for change orders, RFIs, and time impact analyses.

Must-Haves

  • Hands-on Primavera P6 scheduling on commercial construction projects.
  • Understanding of mechanical trade sequencing.
  • Clear communication with field and ownership.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with pull planning or Last Planner.
  • Construction management degree.

Compensation and Logistics
