FIELD OF SCREAMS 20TH ANNIVERSARY (Security Role):

Professional, observant, and calm under pressure, our security team plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, staff, and performers at The Field of Screams. Security team members are the first point of contact for safety concerns, policy enforcement, and emergency response. With a strong presence and clear communication, security ensures that each night runs smoothly and that all guests can enjoy the haunt without disruption. EVENT DATES:

• September 19, 20, 25, 26, 27
• October 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31
• November 1

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Monitoring entrances, exits, and high traffic areas to maintain safety and order
• Enforcing all attraction rules including no-touch policies, no smoking, and other conduct guidelines
• Responding to conflicts, disturbances, or unsafe behavior in a calm and professional manner
• Remaining highly visible and approachable to guests and staff throughout the event
• Assisting with lost guests, first aid incidents, or emergency situations as needed
• Communicating clearly with other security team members and management
• Controlling crowd flow and helping maintain safe capacity levels in each area
• Documenting incidents accurately for management review
• Maintaining a respectful, composed presence, even during tense or confrontational situations
• Adhering to all company policies, including safety, conduct, and operational guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 21 years of age or older (18+ may require a background check per policy)
• Must be available for all scheduled training and event nights
• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather and nighttime conditions
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on alert for extended periods
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Must be reliable, professional, and able to follow all safety protocols
• Prior security, or public safety experience is a plus, but not required

COMPENSATION:

Hourly based on age, experience, or previous pay rate. Returning or highly experienced cast members may earn higher wages. All employee wages will be issued at the end of the season.
