Junior Litigation Paralegal
Washington, DC | Hybrid | Full-Time
A Washington, DC labor and employment law firm is seeking a Junior Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys on a variety of civil and labor-related litigation matters. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a law firm environment who is interested in developing strong litigation support skills.
The paralegal will assist attorneys with case management, document preparation, and administrative support tasks that help keep matters organized and moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with day-to-day litigation support and case management
- Organize and maintain case files and litigation documents
- Prepare binders, exhibits, and case materials for meetings, filings, and proceedings
- Assist with court filings and document preparation
- Track and calendar litigation deadlines
- Support attorneys with document review, organization, and formatting
- Conduct basic legal and factual research as needed
- Coordinate with attorneys and staff to ensure matters stay organized and on schedule
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a law firm, preferably supporting litigation (paralegal or legal assistant experience)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Additional Details
- Practice Area: Labor & Employment / Civil Litigation
- Location: Washington, DC
- Hybrid Schedule: Hybrid after 90 days (3 days in office; Mondays required in office)
- Hours: 8-hour workday with flexible start times between 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Salary Range: $58,000 – $75,000+, depending on experience
