Seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to supervise nursing care and support residents in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with older adults and ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centered care. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document resident responses.
- Monitor residents' conditions, vital signs, and changes in health.
- Notify the RN Supervisor of significant changes in residents' conditions.
- Update care plans and maintain accurate medical records.
- Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure quality resident care.
- Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and rounds.
- Coordinate resident transfers and communicate with families and care teams.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures.
- Assist with staff orientation, assignments, and team meetings as needed.
Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania LPN license or temporary work permit required by the interview; candidates who have applied for a Pennsylvania license may also be considered as specified by the employer.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Nursing home or long-term care experience is a plus.
- New graduates are welcome.
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to supervise nursing assistants and provide compassionate care to elderly residents.
- COVID-19 vaccination is preferred but not required.
