Job Description

Licensed Professional, Residential Treatment Program

Senoj Solutions LLC, Gastonia, North Carolina

Independent Contractor, 1099

About the Program

Senoj Solutions LLC is a four bed Level III residential treatment program in Gastonia, North Carolina, currently pending licensure with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services under 10A NCAC 27G .1700. The program will serve male youth ages 11 to 17 with mental illness or emotional disturbance, providing trauma informed, individualized care intended to help residents build the skills needed to return successfully to home, school, and community.

Current Status, Please Read

The facility is not yet licensed and no residents are admitted. This engagement proceeds in two stages.

Stage One, now: the Licensed Professional is identified on the licensure application and provides license verification, insurance, and credentialing documentation. No clinical services are delivered, because there are no residents. No treatment plans are signed and no staff are supervised.

Stage Two, after licensure: the clinical role described below takes effect by written amendment signed by both parties, once the facility is licensed and residents are admitted. Neither party is obligated to enter

Stage Two.

Scope of the Position, Stage Two

The Licensed Professional provides clinical services within the scope of full clinical licensure:

● Comprehensive clinical assessment and diagnostic evaluation of residents

● Individual, group, and family therapy

● Clinical review and sign off on person centered plans where clinical licensure is required

● Clinical consultation to the Qualified Professional on matters exceeding the scope of that role

What This Position Does Not Include

Under 10A NCAC 27G .1702, the following are assigned to the Qualified Professional rather than the Licensed Professional, and are not part of this role:

● Supervision of Associate Professionals or paraprofessional staff

● Clinical oversight of facility operations

● On call or emergency response coverage for the facility

● Development and routine revision of person centered plans

● Case management, discharge planning, and service coordination

● Administrative or personnel supervision of any facility staff

This position also does not include psychiatric medication management or prescribing.

Required Qualifications

Full, active, unrestricted North Carolina clinical licensure as one of the following:

● Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, LCMHC, previously titled LPC

● Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW

● Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT

● Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, LCAS

● Licensed Psychologist

Associate and provisional credentials, including LCMHCA, LCSWA, LMFTA, and LCAS-A, do not meet the requirement for this position.

Also required:

● Current professional liability insurance, or willingness to obtain coverage before the engagement begins

● Willingness to complete a personnel file, including criminal background check, health care personnel registry check, and tuberculosis screening, notwithstanding independent contractor status

● Ability to travel to the facility in Gastonia, North Carolina

Preferred Qualifications

● Clinical experience with adolescents in residential, group home, or facility based settings

● Training in trauma informed care

● Prior service as Licensed Professional or clinical director of record for a licensed North Carolina facility

Engagement and Compensation

This is an independent contractor engagement. The Licensed Professional may contract individually or through a professional practice entity.

Compensation cannot be stated at this time. Rates for this service category are set by the managed care organization and are not released to a provider before licensure. Scope, session frequency, and fee structure will be set by written amendment once the facility is licensed and rates are available. A candidate who is not satisfied with the terms offered at that stage may decline without obligation.

To Apply

Please submit a resume or curriculum vitae together with a copy of your current North Carolina license. Written position descriptions for both stages are available to candidates on request and will be provided before any commitment is made.

Work location: on site, Gastonia, North Carolina.

Application Question(s):

  • What is your current North Carolina license type and license number? Please state the credential exactly as it appears on your license.

  • Is your license currently active and in good standing with your board, with no past or pending disciplinary action, consent order, probation, or practice restriction? If any exists, please describe it.
