Responsibilities
- Construct, repair, and install structures and fixtures of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to precise specifications
- Assemble and install cabinets, shelves, and other wooden fixtures
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to achieve project goals
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a strong background in commercial construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of wood and other materials, including their properties and uses
- Familiarity with power tools and equipment, including safety procedures and protocols
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with completion of an apprenticeship or trade program preferred
