The Golf Course Maintenance Laborer is a full-time seasonal team member responsible for assisting in the daily maintenance and care of The Pepper Pike Club’s championship golf course and surrounding grounds. This role plays a vital part in delivering exceptional course conditions that reflect the Club’s commitment to excellence and outstanding member experiences.
This position requires early-morning availability, physical stamina, attention to detail, and a positive, team-first attitude.

Reporting Relationship

Reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
Mow greens, tees, fairways, rough, and other turf areas as assigned

Rake and maintain bunkers
-
Operate hand-held equipment, including string trimmers, blowers, and hedge trimmers

Assist with course setup, including changing cups and tee markers
-
Perform divot repair and ball mark repair
-
Assist with irrigation repair and watering as needed
-
Maintain landscaping beds and surrounding grounds
-
Remove debris and maintain the cleanliness of maintenance areas

Follow daily work assignments and safety guidelines
-
Support special projects, including aerification, overseeding, and course improvements

Work efficiently to prepare the course for daily member play and special events
Qualifications
-
Prior golf course or landscaping experience preferred but not required
-
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Strong work ethic and reliability

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Positive attitude and professional demeanor

Must be able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
-
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
-
Ability to operate golf course maintenance equipment safely

Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions
Work Schedule
-
Typical start times are between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Weekends and holidays are required during the golf season
-
Overtime may be required during peak season or tournament preparation
