Role Description: Cable Field Technician (1099 Contractor) This is a full-time, on-site role for 1099 Contractors in the Queens, NY market with a focus on Spectrum services. You will be responsible for engaging with customers to provide services, maintaining relationships, and ensuring high satisfaction. Contractors must meet performance standards, manage schedules effectively, and provide detailed progress reports.
Mandatory Equipment & Requirements
- Vehicle: Must have a reliable white truck or van equipped to transport a ladder safely.
- Tools: Must possess a standard set of telecommunications hand tools and a signal level meter.
- Ladder: Must have a 28-foot fiberglass extension ladder (Grade 1A) and appropriate safety gear.
- Note: Vehicle rental programs may be available for qualified candidates; please inquire during the screening process.
- Meter and work phone available for rent
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Spectrum services or similar telecommunications products (strongly preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently and maintain a solution-oriented mindset.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Relevant experience in a contractor or client-facing role.
- Attention to detail and aptitude for providing comprehensive reports.
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Queens, NY.
