Were seeking a detail-oriented Donor Database & Development Assistant (part time) to help streamline, maintain, and grow our donor database. This role will support data integrity, donor engagement, and assist with development efforts as we expand our fundraising systems. Ideal for someone who enjoys organization, collaboration, and making a difference behind the scenes.
This position is 20 hours per week and the schedule will be determined with the right candidate.
What will this position do?
- Enter and process all donations (checks, online, recurring gifts, pledges, in-kind, etc.) into the donor database accurately and timely.
- Provide regular documentation of gifts to finance to ensure properly recorded into Quickbooks. Assist with reconciling database with financials.
- Generate timely donor acknowledgment letters and receipts.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency of donor records, including contact information, giving history, and communication preferences.
- Assist with preparing reports, mailing lists, and data pulls for appeals, events, and stewardship activities.
- Perform regular database clean-up, deduplication, and error checking.
- Provide administrative support to development director, including filing, scanning, and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of donor information in accordance with organizational policies.
- Assist with other projects and duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) or donor management platforms, general understanding of donation processing, gift acknowledgments, and donor stewardship
SKILLS
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data, communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats, time management, adaptability, technical proficiency
ABILITIES
Ability to learn and use donor database software (e.g., OneCause, Neon), ability to handle sensitive donor and organization information with discretion
