Field Service Technician - A/V & Medical Systems
Job Description
Job Description
Field Service Technician – A/V & Medical Systems
New York / NY–NJ
Region | Full-Time | Field-Based
If you like
being in the field, working with real equipment, and fixing things with your
hands instead of sitting behind a screen — this role is built for you.
Quest
International is hiring a Field Service Technician based in New York or the
NY–NJ region to service A/V and electro-mechanical equipment in hospitals,
labs, and other regulated environments. This is not IT support, not helpdesk,
and not a desk job. You’ll be on customer sites, opening panels, running cable,
troubleshooting systems, and getting equipment back online.
We support
medical imaging, industrial systems, and enterprise A/V platforms where uptime
matters and sloppy work isn’t an option. If you take pride in doing the job
right, you’ll fit in here.
This is not:
• IT helpdesk
• Desktop support
• System administration
• Network engineering or cybersecurity
If your background is mostly tickets,
servers, or networks — this is not the right role. If your background is
hands-on equipment, field work, installs, and repairs — keep reading.

role

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work
independently in the field, traveling between customer sites and handling
service calls end-to-end.
Day-to-day work
includes installing, maintaining, and repairing A/V and electro-mechanical
systems in medical and regulated environments. You’ll mount equipment, run and
terminate cable, diagnose failures, replace parts, and document your work
clearly.
This is hands-on
field service. If you enjoy opening racks, tracing signals, testing voltages,
and solving problems on-site, you’ll be right at home.

types like HDMI, Coax, USB, and Cat5/Cat6.

amplifiers, switchers, and PC-based interfaces is required.
You’ll need
solid customer communication skills, the ability to document your work, and the
