IMMEDIATE HIRE:
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – CPA Firm
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to handle preparation of taxes, to include 1040's, 1120S, 1120s and 1065's. During off season this position will contribute to the Audit department helping with compilations, reviews and audit work. This role is ideal for a detail‐oriented professional who is comfortable working across multiple service areas, including tax preparation, audit support, and general accounting functions for business clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Individual & Business Tax Preparation — Prepare federal and state tax returns including 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065 filings.
- Year-End Closings — Perform year-end closing procedures for business clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- RPIE Preparation — Assist in preparing Real Property Income & Expense (RPIE) filings for applicable clients.
- Audit Engagement Support — Participate in audit engagements, including fieldwork, testing, documentation, and preparation of workpapers.
- General Accounting — Provide support across various accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Accounting preferred.
- CPA is a plus.
- 4-5+ Years of experience in Tax/Audit/Accounting.
- Broad accounting experience within a CPA firm.
- Strong working knowledge of individual and business tax preparation.
- Experience with year-end closings and audit procedures.
- Familiarity with RPIE filings.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software.
