Job DescriptionA large public-sector enterprise is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to configure, enhance, and optimize CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps. This role focuses on automation, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and secure deployment strategies across on-premises and multi-cloud environments. The selected resource will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to modernize release processes and improve deployment reliability across enterprise systems.Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and approval workflows in Azure DevOps
- Develop and maintain YAML-based pipelines to support scalable automation and consistency
- Support deployments across on-premises, Azure, and multi-cloud environments
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for automated provisioning and lifecycle management
- Enforce source control best practices using Git and TFSVC
- Build and integrate monitoring and observability solutions, including alerts, dashboards, and availability reporting
- Implement security tooling and code scanning to support secure and compliant delivery
- Continuously improve pipeline performance, reduce build times, and enhance deployment efficiency
- Architect and support modern deployment strategies including blue-green, canary, and phased rollouts
- Partner with developers, QA, and operations teams to streamline release workflows
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with Azure DevOps build and release pipelines
- Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices across backend, frontend, and full-stack applications
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or equivalent
- Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Python, and Bash
- Experience supporting on-premises and multi-cloud DevOps environments
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Azure Monitor and AWS CloudWatch
- Knowledge of DevOps security best practices, including identity management, secrets handling, and vulnerability scanning
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Must meet CJIS clearance requirements
