What You’ll Do:

You’ll be the linchpin connecting customers, technicians, and leadership — driving smooth, efficient operations across the shop. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate Shop Operations: Manage the day-to-day flow of service and parts, ensuring seamless scheduling, customer support, and team communication.
• Customer-Focused Problem Solving: Field phone calls, diagnose technical concerns, and coordinate solutions quickly and effectively.
• Work Order Management: Open, schedule, monitor, and close work orders to support fast turnarounds and meet service benchmarks.
• Pre-Delivery & Repairs: Oversee preparation and reconditioning of new and used equipment, ensuring everything leaves the shop in top condition.
• Appraisals & Quotes: Evaluate incoming repair jobs, create quotes, and collaborate with the Service Manager to determine labor and parts needs.
• Logistics Oversight: Plan fieldwork, truck usage, and equipment pick-ups/drop-offs to maximize efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Supervise shop staff, promote safety and productivity, and adjust workflows to meet evolving demands.

What You Bring to the Table:

• High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
• 2+ years in heavy equipment or mechanical service
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
• Strong computer skills and quick adaptability to software systems
• A problem-solver with a passion for customer service and strong attention to detail
• Comfortable interpreting instructions across multiple formats (written, diagram, oral)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Someone who enjoys and thrive in a fast-paced workday
• Experience in the service department, automotive, construction or heavy equipment setting a plus
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Physical & Travel Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Work includes sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone, with occasional outdoor activity requiring bending, crouching, and reaching
• Light travel may be required
