Associate Attorney

$140,000-$170,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in various aspects of litigation, focusing on Mass Tort, Toxic Tort, Construction Defect, General Liability, and Civil Defense cases. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment while contributing to the success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
- Participate in client meetings and provide legal counsel
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Assist in the discovery process and review evidence
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case development
- Stay updated on legal trends and changes that may impact cases
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active state bar license in California
- 1-3 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on Mass Tort, Toxic Tort, or Construction Defect cases
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite
