Job Description
A leading law firm is seeking a Messaging Systems Engineer to join its Information Services team. In this role, you'll lead the design, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise messaging and collaboration infrastructure across a large, global user environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, migrate, and administer Microsoft Exchange (on-premises) and Exchange Online environments
- Architect and maintain global messaging infrastructure including Active Directory/Entra ID, DHCP, DNS, MDM platforms, and related security technologies
- Manage Active Directory/Entra ID environments including RBAC, monitoring, automation, backup, and disaster recovery
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex messaging, directory services, and authentication issues
- Administer messaging security technologies including email gateways, anti-spam/malware, encryption, and TLS
- Design, implement, and support enterprise MDM solutions including Intune, MobileIron, and AirWatch
- Monitor environment health and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation
- Develop technical documentation, proposals, and training materials for engineering teams and end users
- Lead and contribute to infrastructure projects independently and in cross-functional teams
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to peers
Requirements
- Expert-level administration of Exchange Online and Microsoft Entra ID
- Expert working knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and PowerShell
- Expert-level experience with MDM platforms (Intune, MobileIron)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across messaging and directory services
- Familiarity with load balancers, VMware, compute, and storage
- Experience in large, global enterprise environments
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Engineering preferred
- Current Exchange and Active Directory certifications preferred
- Large law firm experience a plus
