Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SharePoint & Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our critical digital platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, security, and functionality of our SharePoint environments, while also providing essential support for various other IT systems including Active Directory, ServiceNow, FMS/OpenBlue, and general server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, development, and administration, coupled with a strong background in system administration and web design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
SharePoint Administration & Development:
- SharePoint Farm Administration:
- Perform Nintex administration tasks.
- Create and execute Server and SharePoint PowerShell scripts for automation and management.
- Plan and execute SharePoint farm migrations and upgrades.
- Manage the movement of site collections and sites between different locations.
- Implement and maintain security baselines (STIG) for SharePoint servers and farm.
- Recommend, implement, and maintain robust SharePoint security policies.
- Monitor SharePoint server logs to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Design, develop, and implement custom SharePoint features and solutions.
- Manage and maintain the entire SharePoint farm, including patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
- Design, plan, and implement comprehensive SharePoint disaster recovery and backup solutions.
- Provide advanced SharePoint troubleshooting and code analysis support.
- Offer high-level SharePoint user support for complex issues.
- SharePoint Designer/Collections Administration:
- Build and maintain Nintex Workflows and forms.
- Build and maintain workflows and forms using Microsoft Power Platforms.
- Develop and manage InfoPath forms.
- Build and deploy SharePoint solutions based on diverse customer requirements.
- Manage user permissions across SharePoint sites and content.
- Create and configure SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts.
- Provide technical support for SharePoint end-users.
- Customize SharePoint solutions utilizing approved web technologies (HTML, CSS, JQuery/JavaScript).
- Develop proof-of-concept examples or SharePoint applications to demonstrate capabilities.
- Provide end-user training on SharePoint functionalities and best practices.
- System Administration & Support:
- Server System Administration:
- Manage Internet Information Services (IIS) instances, particularly those supporting SharePoint.
- Plan and run updates/patches on all SharePoint servers.
- Apply security baselines (STIG) to servers.
- Troubleshoot SharePoint server-related issues.
- Active Directory (AD) Administration:
- Add and remove personnel from security groups.
- Manage METC Active Directory groups.
- ServiceNow Administration:
- Manage all user groups for METC within ServiceNow.
- Serve as the sole SharePoint assignment group member in ServiceNow.
- FMS/OpenBlue System Administration:
- Create new accounts within FMS/OpenBlue.
- Create and manage new office/cubicle spaces.
- Map office/cubicle spaces for accurate record-keeping.
- Provide overall administration and support for METC within the FMS/OpenBlue system.
- Server System Administration:
- Web Design & Compliance:
- Manage the METC public-facing website.
- Review documents for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standard AR 25-1.
Required Qualifications:
CompTIA Security Plus Certification
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in SharePoint administration (SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019, SE, or SharePoint Online).
Demonstrated expertise in SharePoint Farm Administration, including patching, upgrades, security, and disaster recovery.
Proficiency in Nintex Workflows and Forms (design, development, and administration).
Strong experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint and Windows Server automation.
Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
Experience with Active Directory administration, including group and user management.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards, specifically AR 25-1.
Experience with server operating systems (Windows Server) and IIS management.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex IT issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide technical training to end-users.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Power Platforms
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate or similar certifications.
Experience with SharePoint Online and hybrid environments.
Experience with InfoPath forms.
Familiarity with ServiceNow administration.
Experience with FMS/OpenBlue or similar facilities management systems.
Experience working in a government or military environment.
