The Data Management Consultant is responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing data governance policies and procedures and is responsible for ensuring that data management processes are effective, efficient, and in line with the organization’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Define and document data governance strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Define, enforce, and document data governance standards, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Develop and write data governance frameworks and guidelines, including data classification, data ownership, and data stewardship.
  • Provide guidance and training to business users and stakeholders on data governance best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements related to data governance and recommend appropriate modifications to existing policies and practices.
  • Develop and manage business relationships across the organization and the client’s organization. Communicate data strategy and management education and provide consultation on streamlining and efficiently improving processes.
  • Serve as a technical and functional data governance and management subject matter expert.
  • Ensures requisite technological capabilities are designed and maintained to support data governance/data management standards and processes.
  • Monitors and audits data systems to ensure accuracy and compliance and facilitates cross-functional team meetings to resolve data governance issues.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in the field of Data Governance and Data Management
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in relevant data governance tools and applications.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including business stakeholders and technical teams

Timeframe

  • Full-time, W2 with competitive salary and benefits. No Corp to Corp (C2C) or 1099 employees.

Location

  • Remote, with Eastern Standard Time work hours- Mon- Fri from 8am- 5pm
