Rossen Law Firm Criminal Justice Summer Internship Program


Rossen Law Firm is thrilled to announce our Criminal Justice Summer Internship Program for college and law students passionate about criminal justice. This competitive, in-person program offers a comprehensive legal experience, providing interns with an immersive insight into the day-to-day operations of a busy criminal defense law firm. Our mission is to empower the next generation of criminal defense lawyers, offering them a foundation combining practical skills and in-depth legal knowledge.

Duration: Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 – Friday, July 31st, 2026

Schedule: Full-Time, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Application Deadline: April 1, 2026 (applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the program may fill early)


Compensation & Academic Credit:

This internship is unpaid, and there is no guarantee of college or law school credit. Students are encouraged to check with their academic institution regarding any independent credit approval. The internship position provides educational experience and professional development as its primary form of compensation.

Responsibilities:

What You Will Do:

  • Gain hands-on experience with critical legal documents, playing an active role in legal proceedings.
  • Conduct discovery reviews and engage in new client meetings, offering support and learning from real-life scenarios.
  • Enhance your skills in drafting memos, formulating deposition questions, and writing on legal topics.
  • Undertake special projects tailored to your interests, perform crucial administrative duties, and support our paralegals.
  • Work directly with our team on current criminal cases, analyzing and devising defenses.
  • Learn from notable figures in the legal field.

Qualifications:

  • Current college/law students with a passion for criminal law.
  • Strong academic record and interest in criminal defense.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work full-time in our office for the duration of the internship.
  • A proactive, eager learner who can work well in a team and independently.
