General Responsibilities
Ensure the proper upkeep of all outside public areas; Assist in other types of maintenance, when necessary; work closely with other maintenance workers. Maintain cordial and professional relationship with contract laborers working on grounds.
Essential Duties
- Ensure that all grounds, unit entrances and rears are kept clean and free of any and all litter;
- Transport bulk items to Roll-Off dumpsite as required;
- Trash out vacant units when required and assist in eviction services;
- Clean all outside public areas to include parking lots, exterior pest extermination and garden upkeep (watering);
- Lawn mowing, trimming and fertilizing grounds;
- Where directed, the pruning, removal and replacement of trees and shrubs;
- Daily painting of exterior curb, hand rails, window well covers, trash dumpster bins and playground boxes;
- Daily removal of sectional graffiti;
- To be present at all times during inclement weather conditions;
- Removal of snow from walkways, steps, etc. and apply ice melt compounds;
- Wear uniform during work hours;
- Friendly, helpful and considerate to all residents;
- Report all unusual circumstances such as vandalism, vacant unit break-in, broken windows, damaged gutters or vinyl siding to the Maintenance Supervisor or Office Staff;
- Maintain the upkeep of grounds equipment;
- Storage to be kept clean, organized and orderly;
- Good Safety habits;
- Perform janitorial duties, when assigned;
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager and Grounds Foreman.
Salary Range: $32K - $34K
