We are working with a well-established, privately held company on the Central Coast of California that is looking to add a Controller to their team. This person will sit at the intersection of accounting leadership and business partnership, working directly with the CFO to keep the financial operation running accurately and efficiently while serving as a resource to operations leadership across the organization.
Desired Skills
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with 3+ years owning an accounting function in a leadership capacity, including managing a team of direct reports
- Solid technical accounting foundation covering month-end close, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and audit readiness
- Experience maintaining and improving internal controls, supporting annual financial and 401K audits, and ensuring compliance with tax and reporting requirements
- Advanced Excel proficiency and hands-on ERP experience, with a track record of finding and fixing inefficiencies in financial processes and reporting
