Job Description

Position Overview
The Janitorial Staff is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment at the Care Transition Center. This role includes general cleaning, disinfecting, and laundry duties to support patients, staff, and facility operations.

Hours: Sunday - Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect patient areas, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common spaces.
Sweep, mop, wash walls, and remove trash throughout the facility and outdoor areas.
Handle laundry duties for patient clothing, towels, and bedding following infection prevention protocols.
Safely use cleaning chemicals and follow safety procedures, including exposure to bodily fluids.
Support staff and respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma preferred.
Previous janitorial or healthcare cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and perform moderate to heavy physical work (standing, walking, bending, climbing).
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
Weekend, evening, or on-call shifts may be required.
Comfort with cleaning areas that may contain bodily fluids.
Basic knowledge of cleaning, disinfection, and infection prevention practices.
