The firm is seeking an experienced Public Finance Attorney to join its growing team. Candidates may sit in Washinton DC, or in any of the firms Florida offices (Tampa, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, or Miami). The position offers the opportunity to advise on high-level municipal finance matters and work directly with public entities across the state.
Key Responsibilities #LI-JP1
- Provide counsel on matters involving municipal finance under Florida law.
- Advise on the federal tax aspects of municipal bond law.
- Draft, review, and negotiate finance-related agreements and supporting documentation.
- Work closely with public sector clients and firm colleagues on complex financing transactions.
- Maintain client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Must be an active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
- Experience with State of Florida municipal finance laws.
- Familiarity with federal tax issues in municipal bond law.
- Undergraduate degree or prior work experience in finance, accounting, or another finance-related area preferred.
- Strong analytical, writing, and client communication skills.
