Current Opportunity
Help Desk Support
The Help Desk Support role provides Level 1 phone and desktop support to Torrington Savings Bank employees, assisting with troubleshooting IT-related issues. This position also maintains Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 phone and desktop support employee access to information systems, including password resets, account unlocks, and permissions management.
- Assist the IT Department with various projects such as hardware replacements, core system upgrades, and employee relocations.
- Support software installations, upgrades, patching, and user training as needed.
- Maintain system diagrams and inventory records; collaborate with Accounting Department to track fixed assets.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and generate related reports.
- Recommend hardware and software purchases based on user needs and system requirements.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by Vice President, Information Technology.
Requirements:
Position Requirements:
•Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and remote support tools
•Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and the ability to troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
•Experience using IT ticketing systems to manage support requests.
•Familiarity with disaster recovery procedures and online systems.
•Experience with IAM systems and IT support best practices.
