We are seeking a skilled professional to perform diagnostic imaging examinations in a healthcare setting in Queens, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and operating radiographic equipment, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Follow physician orders and protocols to capture the necessary images.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including radiation protection measures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Proven experience in a radiology department or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
