About the Role:

As a Residential Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing a dynamic team and ensuring the well-being of both our clients and staff. You will be responsible for:

  1. Leading and supporting our Community Coordinators, including providing training, managing schedules, conducting performance evaluations, resolving staff issues, and ensuring staff are delivering the highest level of care.

  2. Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of our program, including client care, house operations, and adherence to policies and procedures.

  3. Being the primary point of contact for families, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and confident in the care their loved ones are receiving.

Qualifications:

You must meet one of the following criteria:

  • One year of full-time experience, or its equivalent, working with the client group to
    be served (adolescent mental health).
    (1) Experience shall be verified as having been performed as a paid or volunteer
    staff person whose duties required direct supervision and care of the client
    group served.

  • Two years experience as a member of the social work staff in a group home
    performing those duties specified in Section 84065.2(c).

  • Completion with a passing grade, from an accredited or approved college or
    university, of 15 college semester or equivalent quarter units in behavioral science, 9
    units of which must be in courses relating to children with behavioral problems
    which may be the result of abuse, neglect, or emotional trauma. The courses may
    include, but are not limited to curriculums in Corrections, Psychology, Social Work,
    or Social Welfare.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be 23 years or older.

  • Must successfully complete background checks (including ADP Selective Screening Services and Livescan).

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field OR a High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in a direct care or human services position.

  • Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 23 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.

What You’ll Do:

As a Residential Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all clients and staff members by providing appropriate supervision of staff while creating a safe environment for both clients and staff while respecting client and visitor rights.

  • Stay up to date with all program guidelines, policies, and procedures and ensure this information is disseminated to all staff.

  • Hold staff accountable for performance levels, provide feedback to staff, issue disciplinary actions if necessary, complete performance reviews, and recommend staff for pay increases and promotions.

  • Ensure that all staff are properly trained and meet company standards of excellence. Responsible for adequately training all New Hires to work efficiently and safely in all facilities while ensuring that all clients are medication compliant and that staff are following all appropriate and applicable medication self-administration protocols.

  • Notify appropriate facilities team members of any improvements or safety issues related to a house.

  • Encourage staff development and engagement through team building activities which promotes collaboration amongst other members of the team and the organization

  • Build a positive rapport with all clients and staff. Communicate with management any concerns from clients and or staff.

  • Perform various tasks in the house including but not limited to:

    1. Help facilitate weekend activities

    2. Facilitate or delegate tasks of acquiring client requests or needs

    3. Assist with new client intakes when needed

    4. Provide retraining or refresher courses to staff

    5. Safely transport clients to and/or from approved destinations when needed

    6. Report to any house or shift as requested by leadership

    7. Respond in a timely manner to address questions, concerns, or issues related to leadership, staff, or clients

    8. Use communication platforms such as Gchat and email for staff, and VisibleHand tracking systems for clients.

  • Assess situations appropriately and/or utilize de-escalate processes should the need arise.

  • Support Organizational initiatives and meet key performance indicators such as overtime, unplanned discharges, staff retention, etc
