Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- State certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Previous experience in K-12 special education settings highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and execute IEPs tailored to student strengths and needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers and support staff
- Employ adaptive teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed to promote academic and social growth
- Maintain detailed and accurate student records in compliance with legal and district guidelines
- Engage actively with families to foster a supportive and communicative educational partnership
