Job Description:Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced
***Telephone Operator***.
- Minimum of 1 year paid medical clerical experience required.
This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday through Friday, located in Virginia Beach, VA (23454).
Responsibilities :A Day in the life of a Telephone Operator :
A Medical practice Telephone operator must be able to speak clearly, listen actively, and convey information effectively. They should be friendly and patient. Able to empathize and handle difficult patients. They should be efficient and organized, and prepared to handle a high volume of phone calls. Attention to detail and accuracy in taking messages and answering questions are important. Proper spelling and grammar skills, which reflect a level of professionalism, and basic computer skills are necessary to meet the communication needs of the patient/family, office/clinic staff, and the medical staff.
Requirements for the Telephone Operator :
- Required: 1 year paid medical clerical experience
- Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications for the Telephone Operator :
- Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology
- Preferred: Strong customer service and able to work in a fast-paced environment
