Job Description
Job Description
We are a stable, experienced team that has handled the rental car repair account at Tampa International Airport for over 15 years. We are not a typical on-lot vendor — we run our own dedicated facility with consistent, high-volume work.
We are looking for a reliable Experienced Paint Prepper who can keep up in a fast-paced production environment.
Important Note About the Job:
This is outdoor work under canopies/tents using mobile spray stations. You will be exposed to Florida weather — it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Speed, quality, and the ability to work efficiently in the elements are critical for success here.
What You’ll Do (Prepper / Assembler / Shop Helper Duties):
• Remove and install auto parts, panels, bumpers, trim, and moldings
• Sand, prime, and block body work to high standards
• Tape/mask vehicles thoroughly for the painter
• Identify defects and imperfections that need attention
• Assemble vehicles
• Be a real team player who helps wherever needed to keep cars moving
Requirements:
• Prior experience as an automotive paint prepper or body shop helper (sanding, masking, priming, and part removal/installation)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
• Must speak English fluently
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and occasional rain
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (occasional weekends may be required during peak periods)
Pay:
$22 – $25 per hour, depending on experience, speed, and quality. We are willing to pay higher than $25/hour for exceptional candidates who can also do small repairs, assemble vehicles, and be real team players.
Benefits:
• One week paid vacation after one year of steady employment
• Consistent full-time hours with the stability of a long-term rental fleet account
• Opportunity for overtime during busy periods
We will conduct a short working interview (paid) to make sure it’s a good fit for both sides.
If you’re a hard-working, experienced prepper who doesn’t mind Florida weather and wants steady work at a single location (no driving between lots), we want to hear from you!
