Project Coordinator (Fabrication Machine Shop)
Compensation: $50,000 to $55,000/year
Location: Houston, TX 77032
Schedule: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, Some Saturday OT
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Project Coordinator to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of various projects, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong have a background in project coordination, fabrication or machining, administrative skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure timely delivery of product
- Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and tasks
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement solutions proactively
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including reports, meeting notes, and project files with accuracy and attention to detail
- Coordinate with Operations Manager
- Vendor Management
- Project cost management and purchasing responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Prior experience in Project coordination and management.
- Experience in metal fabrication and/or machine shop is preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for effective communication with diverse teams and clients
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Knowledge of calendar management and time management is essential
