SUMMARY
This position focuses on overseeing transplant-related accounts receivable and supporting clinical data coordination across all phases of the transplant process. The role requires strong familiarity with transplant workflows, payer expectations, and reimbursement structures to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely revenue capture. Individuals in this role work closely with both clinical and financial teams to streamline billing, resolve discrepancies, and support overall program efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee transplant accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-up across all case stages
- Review and interpret payer contracts, case rates, and reimbursement structures to support proper billing practices
- Prepare and submit transplant-related documentation and packets in alignment with payer requirements
- Investigate and resolve denials, discrepancies, and outstanding balances through detailed analysis and follow-up
- Perform reconciliations and validate financial data to ensure alignment with contracts and clinical activity
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure complete and accurate documentation throughout the transplant lifecycle
- Monitor payer policies and update processes to remain compliant with evolving requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting transplant billing, collections, or related healthcare revenue cycle functions
- Strong understanding of transplant workflows including evaluation, procedure, and follow-up phases
- Familiarity with case rate structures, contract interpretation, and denial management
- Knowledge of transplant services such as solid organ, bone marrow, or similar specialty areas preferred
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work cross-functionally with clinical and financial stakeholders
