About the Role:
The IT/CS professional in the manufacturing industry plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and continuous improvement of the company's technology infrastructure. This position focuses on monitoring and safeguarding IT hardware and software. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining software and hardware systems that support manufacturing operations, including automation, data management, and cybersecurity. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and drive IT security through technology.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and database management.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# relevant to manufacturing applications.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with IoT devices.
- Basic knowledge of CMMC requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, and maintain IT systems and software applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
- Assist with data collection, storage, and analysis.
- Ensure cybersecurity protocols are in place to protect sensitive manufacturing data and intellectual property.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Skills:
The required skills enable the IT/CS professional to effectively manage and support the complex technology environment. Networking and systems administration skills are essential for maintaining reliable infrastructure and minimizing production disruptions. Cybersecurity expertise ensures that sensitive operational data remains protected against all threats. Axian supplies products to customers around the world using the latest machinery, systems, and controls. We are an industry leader in the manufacturing of machined parts.
Our facility is a modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing complex located in north central Phoenix, Arizona. Our main plant is located off the I-17 west side access road, just south of Union Hills, about 20 minutes north of Sky Harbor Airport. It produces machined parts and assemblies.
We are continually improving our processes and increasing our level of automation and productivity in order to effectively compete with the ever-increasing foreign competition. Axian is well versed in CNC machining, as well as manual processes where needed. Our variety of machines allows us to be competitive on a wide variety of products, while reducing the need to outsource any machining, which further drives down our costs.
