Job DescriptionDescription:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to test and validate a mission-critical federal case management application prior to Stage and Production deployments. This role executes functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in an Agile/DevSecOps environment and documents results, defects, and release readiness. The ideal candidate has hands-on software testing experience on technical teams and can operate in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing for enterprise applications
  • Validate application readiness prior to Stage and Production deployments
  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Perform manual testing of workflow-driven case management systems
  • Support automated testing pipelines and regression suites in Azure DevOps
  • Identify, document, track, and validate defect remediation
  • Validate business rules, workflow logic, and data integrity
  • Validate system integrations, APIs, and automated data exchanges
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with government stakeholders
  • Participate in Sprint demos, backlog grooming, triage, and release readiness reviews
  • Validate compliance with security, audit, and federal IT requirements
  • Support DevSecOps pipelines and vulnerability validation
  • Collaborate with software engineers, business analysts, cybersecurity, and operations teams
  • Maintain QA documentation, test evidence, and audit artifacts
  • Support production validation and post-deployment verification

Requirements:

Qualification Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to pass background investigation and suitability requirements
  • Active Q clearance preferred; must be eligible to obtain a Tier 5 clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
    • Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience testing software on a technical delivery team
  • Experience supporting enterprise or mission-critical applications
  • Willingness to support off-hours releases and production deployments as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated federal environment
  • Experience performing software testing on enterprise applications
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Experience performing functional, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Experience validating Stage and Production deployments
  • Experience tracking and managing defects using ticketing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA)
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience validating system integrations and APIs
  • Experience supporting identity, access, or personnel vetting systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
