Job DescriptionImmediate Need: Compassionate Hospice Caregiver
Home Instead is seeking experienced and dependable caregivers to support a client transitioning home on hospice care. This is a high-priority case requiring caregivers who are comfortable providing hands-on personal care while offering compassionate emotional support to both the client and family.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking caregivers who:
- Have experience caring for hospice or end-of-life clients
- Are comfortable providing personal care, including brief changes and bed care
- Can safely reposition bed-bound clients
- Remain calm, reassuring, and emotionally steady during periods of decline
- Understand the importance of dignity, comfort, and client-centered care
- Communicate effectively with families, hospice staff, and the care team
- Are dependable and committed to maintaining consistent coverage
Responsibilities
- Personal care assistance
- Bed-bound client support
- Repositioning and skin integrity support
- Bedpan assistance and comfort care
- Companionship and emotional support
- Observing and reporting changes to the appropriate care team
- Following established care plans and hospice guidelines

Qualifications
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
- Supportive and compassionate
- High School Diploma or equivalent
