Schedule - 2nd Shift
Monday – Friday
4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Candidates must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed to support production demands.
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor with a strong leadership presence and a commitment to employee development, safety, quality, and operational excellence. This individual will be responsible for leading production teams, driving daily performance, and ensuring production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, maintain a strong floor presence throughout the shift, and lead by example through communication, accountability, coaching, and teamwork. This role is best suited for a leader who enjoys being actively engaged with employees and production processes rather than managing solely from an office.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations and ensure production goals are achieved
- Maintain a strong floor presence while supporting employees throughout the shift
- Promote and reinforce a positive safety culture and safe work practices
- Lead, coach, train, and develop hourly production employees
- Drive employee engagement, accountability, teamwork, and productivity
- Monitor production flow, efficiency, quality standards, and staffing levels
- Address production issues and make timely decisions to minimize downtime
- Partner with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and leadership teams to support operational goals
- Conduct employee coaching, performance discussions, and corrective actions when necessary
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate shift performance effectively
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Lead, or similar leadership role preferred
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, and workforce management
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication, coaching, and employee development skills
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and effectively solve problems
- Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence required
- Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Kaizen initiatives is a plus
- Experience within building products, wood products, industrial manufacturing, or similar production environments preferred
